Drive Downloader is a Windows and macOS desktop application from Spacesdock that downloads files and folders from Google Drive directly to the folder you choose on your own computer.

Windows 10/11 and macOS Files and folders Direct to your computer

How it works

Three steps to a file on your disk

STEP 1
Sign in with Google
You sign in with your Google account through Google's own sign-in flow. Drive Downloader requests read-only access to your Drive so it can find the files you want to download.
STEP 2
Activate with Spacesdock
After sign-in, you activate this Windows or macOS device with a Spacesdock license key. Spacesdock licensing is independent from your Google account.
STEP 3
Download to your computer
Paste a Drive link, pick a folder, and Drive Downloader writes the file bytes directly to your chosen local folder. Drive file content is not routed through Spacesdock servers.

What Drive Downloader does

Drive Downloader is a focused desktop tool that takes Google Drive file or folder links and downloads the contents to a folder on the user's computer. It uses Google's own authentication and Drive APIs to read the files you have asked it to download.

Drive Downloader's access flow is strictly ordered. The application will not show a license key field until a Google account has been connected, and the main downloader does not open until both the Google account and the Spacesdock license are active.

Designed for everyday Drive downloads

  • Single files and full folders.
  • Long-running downloads with resume.
  • Direct file writes to the folder you choose.
  • Works alongside your normal Drive usage in the browser.

Privacy and data handling

Google sign-in is used only for Google Drive access. Spacesdock licensing is independent from Google — your Spacesdock license key, device activation, and entitlement are stored against your Spacesdock account, not your Google account.

Drive Downloader does not ask for or store your Google password. Authentication happens through Google's OAuth flow in your system browser. Downloaded file bytes are saved directly to the folder you select on your computer; Spacesdock does not keep copies of your Drive files.

For the complete description of what Drive Downloader stores, transmits, and why, see the Privacy Policy.

License and terms

Drive Downloader requires a Spacesdock license. Each license currently allows one Windows device and one macOS device. License and device entitlement rules are governed by your purchased product. By using Drive Downloader you agree to the Terms of Service.
